Dear CarPro Family,
I hope your week has been terrific. We have a lot of information for you today. Automakers are stepping up to help the flooding victims in Central Texas and I tell you about that. I am proud of the auto industry and many of the dealers who have given to help those who so badly need it.
Just before our newsletter was scheduled to go out to the national subscribers, we learned of an explosion at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department that resulted in the tragic deaths of three deputies. Early indications are it was a terrible accident. Our condolences and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these three heroes, as well as to the fellow officers of those who are deceased. This is another sobering reminder of the risks the brave women and men who put on a badge face every single day.
In other articles, I explain as best I can the new law that allows some people to write the interest off on auto loans. You’ll learn that as used car prices continue to go up, finding an under $20,000 car is almost impossible. Many of us can’t wait to see the new Superman movie and one of the stars is a car! From the legal files, 3 different dealerships are being sued, and the Attorney General of Nebraska is suing GM and OnStar for selling your personal data.
Kim Komando has some great tips for you today, and don’t miss Kim’s Quiz, I got this one wrong, too. The answer is at the very bottom of this newsletter. In my closing message, I reflect on some thoughts from Steve Jobs as he looked back on his life, just before his death at a very early age. We could all learn a few things from this gentleman.
In car reviews, I have the incredibly stunning 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ mammoth SUV. My other vehicle this week is the hot 2026 Genesis GV70 3.5T SUV that gets some great updates. In our third review, Amy Plemons brings you the all-new 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan, and what a redesign!
In advice, I offer you tips on how to get 200,000 miles out of your car. Don’t miss the latest on tariffs, and I have some hilarious stories for you in my Quick Shifts column today.
If you haven’t perused my FAQ page, please do. There are likely multiple articles you can use, every one of them written by me. Miss a radio show? Below we tell you how to get the podcast, and if you missed a newsletter, we tell you how to find the archive page where you can see the last 10 editions. The incentives have gone up lately, but our Incentive Guide is always 100% up to date.
All of our other regular features are below including the Classic Car Contest, the radio stations we are on, how to call the show to talk directly to me, and much, much, more.
We very much appreciate you being part of the newsletter family. Without you, there is no Car Pro Show. Let us know how we can help you, and if you haven’t been to our website lately, check it out at CarPro.com. It changes daily.
Have a terrific week. See you on the radio!
