The owners Anh Wu (also known as Tuan Anh WU or Vu The Anh, speaks English) has had nearly 15 years experience working in tourism and Nguyen Ngoc (also known as Knock, speaks English and French) has been guiding for over 10 years. Our company will remain 100% Vietnamese run and owned. When you travel with Offroad Vietnam, you're not just a customer but also a friend. Offroad Vietnam owns a fleet of Honda GL Pro Neotech 1600 156cc motorcycles, Honda dirt-bike XL 125cc, Honda trail bike Baja XR or Degree 250cc and step through (semi-automatic) moped scooters but does not own rental Minsk motorbikes. We are the first and the only motorcycle tour operator in Hanoi offering Honda real road motorcycle touring. If you request, we hire good quality Minsks, well maintained and serviced before every tour from Cuong's Motorbike Adventure. Our tour leaders do their job for the love of riding. Every tour to them is a new tour with new sights to see. They will not be herding you around like a flock of sheep and you will not find our guides flying red flags on their bikes for you to follow.

Tours And Services We OfferOffroad Vietnam offers motorbike, moped scooter, motorcycle, bicycle and 4x4 (4WD) jeep off road adventures, with trekking and kayaking an extension. These tours are often categorized as specialty or adventure travel. Our adventures cover Vietnam with partners' tours in Laos, Cambodia (these three countries form Indochina), Thailand and in the near future China.
Tours in Vietnam include off road motorbiking, motorcycling, 4x4, trekking and kayaking. Accessories (gloves, helmet, saddle bags) and equipment (riding jacket and pants, rain gears) and Honda real road bikes and/or Belorussian Minsks are of highest quality in Northern Vietnam. All Minsks are serviced by Mr Cuong, known as "Master Mechanic" or "Doctor of Minsk" who you can find just 50 m from our office.We provide all riding and rain gear but still advise to bring your own as we may not have your size due to limited size availability in Vietnam.

We focus on the north of Vietnam as this rugged area hosts the real undiscovered magic and the most impressive scenery. Every region, every tour holds something special.
Short ride loops can be completed in as little as three or four days, although in order to make an exciting adventure deep into the mountains expect to spend at least seven days on the road. The longer you ride, the bigger and better loop you complete.
South-west: Relatively easy road riding that takes in rice-terraced mountains, hill tribe cultures, jungle clad national parks and traditional homestays. 3-5 days, 490-830 km.
North-east: Fantastic summer riding through magical limestone karst landscape with side trips to waterfalls, beautiful lakes and national parks. 5-7 days, 760-950 km.
North-west: Classic road trip out to the former Dien Bien Phu battle site that takes in a huge collection of landscapes, high mountain passes, hill tribe cultures and traditional homestays. 6-8 days, 1,000-1,300 km.
Middle Road (North-Centre): Challenging off and on-road adventure through the highest mountain range past isolated hill-tribe cultures and incredible rice terraces. 4-8 days, 660-1,050 km.
Back-road Border Ride: Challenging and remote road ride which skirts the Chinese border passing spectacular national parks, lakes, waterfalls, limestone karst, gorges and steep mountain passes. 8-9 days, 950-1,000 km.
Custom off pist: Extreme off pist dirt biking to highly remote and spectacular regions only possible for experienced drivers willing and able to work in the dirt. 7-10 days, over 1,000 km.
In Laos we use Honda Baja 250 (motocross) as many roads in Laos are in poor condition and you really need a strong bike with high clearance. The Honda Baja proves to be "top notch" for this type of excursion. Riding in Laos is more difficult than in Vietnam, but as a reward, you see a country full of stunning and wild landscapes and colourful people. Riding elephants in Laos is easy. Laos is nicknamed "the country of a million elephants". (Of course you can do this in Central Highlands of Vietnam in Dac Lac province but the cost is very expensive: about 30 USD/hour!) Riding Cambodia, we partner up with Dancing Roads Dirt-bike Cambodia, one of the most reliable MX tour operators based in Phnom Penh, to offer motocross tours on mountain paths and trails. Roads in Cambodia are even harder than in Laos which makes our costs more expensive in comparison to Vietnam and Laos. Khmer Tet holiday (often falls in April) is one of the most interesting festivals in the country. While touring Cambodia, you can't miss Angkor Wat with ruined temples as featured in "Tomb Raiders". Other places of interest are Tonle Sap Lake, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Koh Kong, Kep, Rabbit Island, Bokor, Thmor Bang, Sophat, Kompong Cham, Kratie, Sen Monorom, O' Saom, Pursat, Preah Vihear, Koh Ker, Sen Monorom, Rattanakiri... Touring in Thailand, we partner up with Motorbike Thailand, a well known English/Australian and Thai managed outfit based in Mae Hong Son close to Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. Thailand has been top choice of tourists to Southeast Asia for over 20 years and a connection would offer more diverse and varied holidays. Our two companies can offer contrasting tours by motorcycle: Choose to ride in Thailand using modern road or off road motorcycles then onto Vietnam for some off-road motorcycle tours riding Honda or Russian built "Minsk". The Minsk was left over in Vietnam from the Russian Communist era and similar to India with the Royal Enfield left over from Great Britain, Minsk can be found everywhere in Vietnam and some are rebuilt to exacting standards as used by Offroad Vietnam.
