Two Genesis SUVs are hitting the big screen in a new summer movie. The all-electric GV60 and flagship GV80 are featured prominently in Disney's Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2003 Disney classic Freaky Friday. The body-swapping adventure, which arrives in theaters August 8th, stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as Tess and Anna Coleman.

“Genesis is dedicated to crafting vehicles that understand and anticipate the needs of modern families,” said Amy Marentic, chief marketing officer of Genesis Motor America. “Through our collaboration with Disney on Freakier Friday, we’re inviting consumers to discover how Genesis can help them navigate life’s daily adventures and empower the leading women who drive them.”
As the story unfolds, you'll see Tess recharging in her all-electric GV60 or Anna cruising through LA in the spacious GV80. The integration is designed to introduce new families to the Genesis brand. The automaker says whether it's the peacefulness of GV60's elegant cabin or the powerful road presence of the GV80, each model reflects the brand's commitment to creating memorable, human-centered moments.
Freakier Friday will be released on August 8, 2025, in theaters nationwide.
